I was complaining to a neighbour,
That my parsnips had not grown.
For weeks I patiently kept an eye
On the area I had sown.
“The pigeons must have eaten them,”
The neighbour said to me.
“Oh No! I don’t have pigeons,
Just come along and see.”
Something strange then happened,
On a window sill out the back.
A puffed up, preening pigeon,
Had my window under attack.
It paraded to and fro – then turned.
It attacked the window - with force.
Meanwhile a lady pigeon looked on.
While the pigeon attacked - its rival ,
MY WINDOW –
